The Book Archive is based in Edmonton, AB which is located within Treaty 6 Territory and within the Métis homelands and Métis Nation of Alberta Region 4. We acknowledge this land as the traditional territories of many First Nations such as the Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux) and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot).

Alphabet Soup Bookstore & The Book Archive are collaborating to sponsor queer youth and are looking for community support.
Each bookish care package includes (but not limited to):
- 2 YA books rated for 14-18 yrs
- 2+ high-quality stickers
- 2 branded bookmarks
- An encouraging postcard with more information about Alphabet Soup and The Book Archive
The estimated retail value of each care package is $43. Our base cost for each care package is approx. $30. You can sponsor the full costs of a package for $30, or another amount toward the initiative from $5, $10, $20. If you wish to sponsor a different amount, you're able to add multiple quantities into you're cart.
So far we've donated 41 book bags to Queer Youth in Edmonton, AB - but we wish to do much, much more.
Our aim is to raise funds that will help recoup some upfront costs, and continue to provide these packages to local organizations that work with queer youth.
Tax Receipts
At this time, we're unable to provide a tax receipt for this donation, but we are looking into ways to coordinate with the organizations we're helping to do this in the future.
