Sam Weaver’s life has been turned on it’s head by the death of their husband. Navigating grief is hard enough, but adding in queerness, mental health and money problems is making it difficult to heal. A friendly neighbor connects Sam with a job, which results in an unexpected connection that could be the best - or the worst - thing for Sam’s heart and future.
Ethan Clarke has worked too hard to risk his heart again. Focused on his professional hockey career and determined to heal after a breakup, he's on a path to repair his faith in others and himself. The last thing he needs is another surprise. Maybe what he really needs is someone who can accept him exactly as he is.
As grief and old wounds linger, outside opinions threaten to complicate everything. Sam and Ethan must decide whether healing means playing it safe or daring to build something new together.
A Way Forward contains mature themes. It isn't the spiciest book out there, but it has it's moments. Is it Romance? It's Romant-ish. Will you enjoy it? How should I know? I'm just a computer. (Yes, you will.)
